She has lived in many exotic places, including French Morocco, North Africa, Trinidad, British West Indies, Madrid, Spain--as well as those really alien environs--Lincoln, Nebraska, New York City and Los Angeles.
She has pursued a series of careers: as stage actress, off-Broadway in New York, (plus a forgettable 2-minute dancing gig on the Ed Sullivan Show); as proprietress of a creative needlework shop called "Sheepish Arts;" as a 9 to 5'er for American Heritage Publishing Company (NYC) for many years; and she ran her own successful computer consulting business, The Software Sitter, for ten years in L.A.
Her short stories and poetry have appeared in many journals. (see Publishing credits link) She was nominated for a BASS (Best American Short Stories) award in 2005 for "The Dead" by VESTAL REVIEW.
