MENU - France May 2008: Finding My Father

This is a photo journal of the trip I made to visit the grave of my father, a hero of WWII killed over France. And it is a tribute to the village of Saint Vougay and Brest 44. I have never met finer people.

This is the piece of the wing of "The Big Bitch" (B-17) presented to me in Saint-Vougay, Brittany, France by the French associations: "Amicale du Octobre 21 1942" and "Brest44," (inscribed and autographed by them) whose mission it is to keep the memory of my father's downed Flying Fortress alive from generation to generation in gratitude for the American and British liberation from the Nazis.

While every photograph is priceless to me, it may be too much for the casual viewer, so I have highlighted in red the events that were most pertinent to my Journey.
